Archived from groups: alt>books>isaac-asimov (more info?)

Hey guys,

I've just finished reading the book "I, Robot", which, I finally figured
out, has nothing to do with the movie really Smile

I'm very interested in reading more about the series, but when I do a google
search all the references I can find is to the movie, not the next book...
so, can anyone tell me the title of the next book in the series?

Also, does Asimov continue on the theme that the last short story in the I,
Robot book stops at? i.e. the development of the robots to take over the
earth Smile

Thanks

K

Check out the Foundation series starting with "Foundation",
Foundation and Empire" and Second Foundation". Also
check out "The Caves of Steel" and "The Naked Sun".
This will give you a good start on Asmov's science fiction.

Though Steel and Sun were originally a stand alone science
fiction mystery duet, Asimov eventually made one of the
characters from these two books into an integral part of'
the Foundation series. I was very pleased to see this character
show up. (Don't tell him, people. Let him find out on his own.)

Actually, the movie, other then a couple of character names and the 3 laws,
has nothing to do with the series of stories that makes up the book.

Some others have mentioned some good advice on links. Enjoy!

Apparently, the movie was not based on the book at all, but was named
"I Robot" after it was completed. In contrast, the movie "The
Bicentennial Man" was based on the book.

The collection "The Rest of the Robots" is usually the one to read
after "I Robot". Alternatively, "The Complete Robot" may be a better
option, as it includes all the stories from both books, plus a few
more.
