I am a bookworm and a geek. I've been spending some of my spare time
putting together an online application for organizing, keeping track
of, and just cataloging all my "stuff". It's in its very early stages,
but at this point the book cataloging functionality is pretty much all
there.

The URL is http://compender.com

Since it's new, and one knows about it, I'm just posting on here to let
you all know it exists, and to ask that you try out and send me your
comments, suggestions and complaints.

It's completely free, will remain free, and there's no limit on the
size of your library(ies).

Thanks for your time!

If you want your database to grow fast, you may be able
to persuade people with personal book databases to
upload them. But you will not persuade them to sit
down and re-enter all the material again: you would have
to enable their uploading the whole data file (in some
standard form you can process.)
