Dictionary says CHILDE is a youth of noble birth. And given that
royalty back then tended to sow numberous seeds so to speak, this
could apply to us all.(almost said "wild oates" but oates aren't that
wild and also that would of got into Kelson and his horse which is a
scary thought.)
Of course the dictionary also comments that CHILD is archaic form for
a female infant
