I haven't read this book. How is it like Rice and how does it differ?
Thanks,

The Vampire is a kind of fact mixed into fiction . But I got the same
feeling when I read annes cronicals.
I think its the pain of the vampire in the book .and the things he dose to
be amortal .I dont want to say any more it would spoil it if you read it.

hope you read it . and like it .

Thanks for responding. I'll have to pick it up as my next fiction
reading.
Take care,
Ashe

Hi,

I'm currently about half way through this book at the moment.

Not as good as Anne Rice but agree very good, definately worth a read.
I also have another of his books lined up, 'Supping with Panthers' set in
victorian times and includes Bram Stoker, Lord Byron and Oscar Wilde.

I've read nearly all of Anne's books and can't wait to read Blood Canticle.
Although it will be kinda sad to think that's it.
Lestat et al will be sorely missed, guess I'll have to start over again!

I read it about six years ago. Made it a gift to a friend too, and it got me
interested in the life and times of Byron himself. Interesting fella, great
poet... I don't think I would've discovered him yet if it hadn't been for
Holland. Dutch schools eh... They skip the classics entirely in some cases.
I don't think anyone in my old classes ever even heard of Lovelace, not even
now that we're older...

Where can I find the book? I searched Amazon but they didn't have THE VAMPIRE
by Tom Holland. I did see other books by him though.

Be well.

The correct title is the Vampyre, with a y... Amazon does have it, used and
new. Smile
Happy hunting,
Jo

This is what I found on Amazon:

Vampyre: Being the True Pilgrimage of Lord Byron

Is this is?

They said they were out of stock.

Be well.

That's the one. Which amazon are you checking? .com or .co.uk? The .com one
says "Availability: Usually ships within 1-2 business days " The .co.uk
three days.

There are a few different amazons, I think there's a .ca too . And then
there's always Barnes... Out of stock by the way doesn't per se mean out of
print, so they'll restock sometime. Could be they already have.
Good luck!
Jo
