By the way, Strat-Cat has decided to join the village.

Speaking of which, lovely weather we've been having.
I feel like the wicked witch, I'm melting, I'm
melting! And tomorrow they're promising us code
orange air quality---I thought we'd passes orange a
few days ago. My eyes and lungs are not enjoying this
year's pollen counts, or the early arrival of the
three famous H's.

If there were a way, I'd gladly send you some of this
80+ stuff we've been getting. I like cool weather 60s
make nice highs, not lows. Obviously, I'm getting my
yearly hate the summer in DC grumble going a bit early
this year.
Have a Wonderful Anniversary!

Boston (US) is a very nice city. One of my sisters lives there, and I
love going to visit. Lovely place, Boston.

Snigger. Close enough. Actually, there are times I'd prefer those.

Your sister-in-law is moving closer to my
sister-in-law. My brother and his wife live in the
Boston suburbs. Warn her that the weather is wild,
they've already broken the hot day record for May this
year and the winters can be interesting. But Boston
is a nice city in some respects, lots to do and such
but killer traffic (as usual).

Don't I wish! Ours are Heat, Humidity and I can't
remember what the third is--heat rash? hot tempers?

Prekindergarten is 4, kindergarten is 5, so if she is doing pre-k she
will start this fall.
Do you know whereabout in Boston she will be? My sister lives in
Cambridge, which is not technically Boston, but is walking distance
to Harvard Square.

Ah, closer to my sister than my brother then. I'm the
odd one out for my immediate family--everyone is in
New England except me. Same deal for school ages,
pretty much. The weather still will be erratic, I
think it was Mark Twain who commented on the weather
in New England, to the effect that "if you don't like
the weather, wait 10 minutes". They'll be closer to
New York than Boston but both can be easily reached by
train, New York City an hour or less, Boston probably
about 4 hours.

<Snicker> That reminds me of my husband's brother, who was consoling
me with the thought that the children would be out of the house by
the time they were 18. Which would have been great, only he was over
30 and still living at home...Oh, well, he may move out someday.

degree. >> Stay informed about: I've been mostly away recently... |
